Soppily Sentimental

I wanted to say a special ‘thank you’ for your kind comments and feedback on my posts – it is so appreciated and makes my day to know people out there are reading my little blog. A warm welcome too to my new followers – it is utter delight to have you join me in Blogland.

I seem to have loved you in numberless forms, numberless times
In life after life, in age after age, forever.
My spellbound heart has made and remade the necklace of songs,
That you take as a gift; wear round your neck in your many forms,
In life after life, in age after age, forever.

After a seemingly unshake-offable buggy thing ...
... and being bed bound for nearly two weeks
I seem to be on the mend and getting back to some sort of normality.
The garden has bloomed profusely in my absence

Including the pesky bindweed that I had tried so diligently to keep on top of.
It is absolutely enchanting right now.

Lush and green ...

... shimmering in sunbeams …
... yes, we have had sun.

Buzzing with insects ...
... and rich in birdsong
An utter joy to be in.

Before the lurgy thingy though I was busy making.
Being a hopeless romantic ...
... soppily sentimental ...
... regularly moved by a few simple words ...
... a gentle touch ...
... a heart shaped stone ...

... random collections that mean everything to one person ...
... and nothing to another.

I love absolutely anything to do with roses ...

... you sort of get the picture ...
I just love a little soppiness.

Remember these?

Miniature vintage cylinder boxes holding the tiniest wax matches?

… made into teeny keepsakes for someone special.

Covered with snippets of old letters and ephemera.

Holding within a message.

Backed with a patchwork of vintage fabric ...

… and topped with vintage letters ...
... is an embroidered message.

Rolled snugly inside the box.

Waiting to be unveiled
By that special someone
