A last minute weekend away.
To one of our favourite-est places.
Cornwall.
The Lizard in particular
... a place that you always go back to?
Where it actually hurts to leave?
For me it is Cornwall.
The air, the light ...
... secluded coves and cliff top walks ...
... lichen covered coastal hedges ...
... deep sided lanes sprinkled liberally with wild flowers ...
... rolling sea mist (and there was plenty of that this time) ...
the sound of sea on rock ...
... and the ice blue of water over sand ...

I find it magical.
As with any special place ...
... it has been a dream to move there ...
... it has been a dream to move there ...
But I never, in a million years, expected it would happen.
Or rather hubby did it ...
... he has a job down there ...
... came completely out of the blue …
He starts in two weeks.
He starts in two weeks.
… hence, the last minute weekend down there ...
... to look for somewhere to stay.
As well as sneeking in a visit ot two to a remote cove and coastal walk.
There is so much to think about ...
... so much to do.
We are still coming to terms with the news ...

Hubby will go down there ...
... I will stay here to sort things out and follow later.
A brand new chapter.

How exciting! It looks like a beautiful place! How fortunate that he has a new job in the place you love so much. I look forward to reading about your adventure. We dream of such a thing...finding good jobs in the place we love so much...near Zion National Park in Utah. Who knows....maybe someday. Dreams do come true. Sounds like your dream is. :-)

ReplyDeleteHow wonderful for you! I enjoyed your pictures very much - a cliff walk, with the sound of the surface and a little sea mist sounds like a wonderful thing. I hope everything gets sorted out quickly for you, and you can be down there in good time - and post even more pictures...
