An evidently much
loved …
… and much hugged
bear.
Only
the teeniest, tiniest smidgen of yellow fur remaining …
… to show
his original colour …
I bought him from
the Portscatho Fair at the weekend …
… where I had a
stall.
Stanley was bought
from Cowboys and Custard …
… whose stall was
opposite mine …
Stanley was sat in a trailer …
Stanley’s eyes and threadbareness called
beseechingly to me ...
… between the handmade card
display …
… and the vintage child's sewing
machine …
… until I could no longer resist.
He now sits in a wicker chair enjoying the sunbeams …
...
between gently snoozing …
… and gazing
out into the garden.
Reminiscing ...
Reminiscing ...
... and settling
very nicely into his new life here …
… at
the cottage.
(The wound under the plaster healing very nicely thank you)

A few more of the Portscatho goodies that was on offer.
* I do have a soft spot for a dog on wheels *
* beautiful linen purses from La Lilly Bea ...
... and her bunnies *
* vintage goodies at The Sea Garden*
Looks a lovely fair and he is just the cutest bear ... so glad he has found a forever home.
ReplyDeletewhat a lot of lovely treasures ...I understand how you could not resist the bear !! have a nice weekend...Gail x
ReplyDeleteoh poor Stanley....bless him, he still looks very huggable though even without the hair.......ahhhh.
ReplyDeleteLove him x
Be still my heart! And you didn't get the bunny as well? I imagine being a stall holder at these wondrous events is fraught with all kinds of furry temptation.
ReplyDeleteIt took tremendous will power to walk away from the bunnie .... the doggie on wheels ..... the red wooden fire engine ... bad enough to see such stalls at the same fair but to be placed opposite one with those eyes burning into you ... you can imagine.
