Saturday morning was spent at the antique fair in Wadebridge.
My first one down here.
Only a few finds …..
… but met some lovely people.
A collector of sewing memorabilia …..
….. with the most exquisite items …
… to coo over.
The teeniest, tiniest scissors with a pen knife attached …
… just an inch long …
… perhaps once attached to a long chain ...
... round a slender neck …
… handy to snip her silk thread.
Tiny carved pig trotters .....
...... used to keep the wool tidy when knitting
socks …
… on four needles.
An enamelled shoe with concealed pen knife …
….. also only an inch long.
Super, duper sweet.
Delicately engraved mother of pearl tape measures.
So very elegant.
The Victorians certainly knew how to do exquisite.

… one can never have too many …
… a silhouette picture so intricately cut out …
….. with the sweetest of messages on the back.
Odd bits for my collages …
... and ephemera ...
… vintage French maps, rent books from Bilston (11s 9p a weekrent in 1929) ..
... and promotion pics for radio stars .....
..... before the days of TV.
A Scottie doggie brooch ...
... with a loving gaze ...
... but perhaps my favourite of all …
… is a brooch of a seagull wearing lipstick.
